This image was created during sunrise on the Windward coast of Oahu. Framed by an ironwood pine along the coast, the branches draw your attention to the dramatic ridge line of Ka'a'awa Valley, a.k.a. "Jurassic Valley," where many of the Jurassic Park films were shot. In ancient Hawaiian storytelling, this particular ridge is said to be the spine of a giant Mo'o, or lizard that laid down along the shore as is final resting place.
