About this photograph

This image was created during sunrise on the Windward coast of Oahu. Framed by an ironwood pine along the coast, the branches draw your attention to the dramatic ridge line of Kaʻaʻawa Valley, a.k.a. "Jurassic Valley," where many of the Jurassic Park films were shot. In ancient Hawaiian storytelling, this particular ridge is said to be the spine of a giant moʻo, or lizard that laid down along the shore as its final resting place.

Matted print

A smaller, simpler way to bring one of these photographs home. It's printed here on Oʻahu on 275-gram satin photo paper, with rich color and a smooth, scratch-resistant finish. It's set in an acid-free white mat, 11 x 14 on the outside, with a backing board and a clear sleeve to keep it clean. Vertical photos are 8 x 10 and horizontal ones are 8 x 12, and both fit any standard 11 x 14 frame.

Prints ship up to 60 inches on the long side. Larger sizes are pickup on Oʻahu only; get in touch and we'll quote freight.
