About this photograph

This is an aerial image of Kaʻaʻawa valley, also referred to as "Jurassic valley," on the Windward coast of Oahu during sunrise. The prominent features are the iconic profile of the mountain ridge and the lush valley below. This location was also used extensively in many films within the Jurassic Park saga, as well as Jumanji, Kong Skull Island, and several Godzilla films.
