About this photograph
This image was created during sunrise using a drone. As I flew along the cliffs of Makapuʻu, I noticed the symmetrical nature of the geography as well as the contrast of light and dark, which combined for an interesting combination. Add in a lighthouse and you get an interesting combination of elements. While editing the image to emphasize the contrast in colors and tone while maintaining a symmetrical composition, I wanted to play off of the idea that there are often two very different sides of the same coin. Makapuʻu lighthouse is perched on the eastern tip of Oʻahu.

A smaller, simpler way to bring one of these photographs home. It's printed here on Oʻahu on 275-gram satin photo paper, with rich color and a smooth, scratch-resistant finish. It's set in an acid-free white mat, 11 x 14 on the outside, with a backing board and a clear sleeve to keep it clean. Vertical photos are 8 x 10 and horizontal ones are 8 x 12, and both fit any standard 11 x 14 frame.
