This image was created during sunrise using a drone. As I flew along the cliffs of Makapuʻu. I noiced the symmetrical nature of the geography as well as the contrast of light and dark, which combined for an interesting combination. Add in a lighthouse and you get an interesting combination of elements. While editing the image to emphasize the contrast in colors and tone while maintaining a symmetrical composition, I wanted to play off of the idea that there are often two very different sides of the same coin.

Makapuʻu lighthouse is perched on the eastern tip of Oʻahu.
